Let us talk about beauty from a different angle!
We have our own criteria for judging the beauty of a woman. We look the beauty of a lady from a certain angle and then pass the remarks whether she is beautiful or not. It’s not fair. Let me tell every woman that she is unique and beautiful.
The business of beauty is thriving everywhere. Women are spending much of their time and money on buying beauty products. Even in the third world countries, women living below the poverty line, buy cheap and substandard beauty products, which give more harm to their skin than good.
It’s the fundamental right of every woman to look beautiful. Every woman wants to listen the sweet words “you are beautiful”. But the beauty of a woman is far from her looks or figure. Physical beauty is only one aspect while a beautiful charming personality is a complete blend of many fine characteristics such as good manners, etiquette, behavior, smile, intelligence, sense of humor, social and family values etc., all make a woman look beautiful and attractive.
Didn’t you know that there is a marked difference between a carefully hand woven expensive Persian carpet and a cheap machine made carpet. Both of these cannot be equated. A beautiful woman is like an elegant hand-knotted Persian carpet. Each and every silky, colorful thread of her character, nicely woven into her personality, gives a woman an everlasting beauty and attraction.
Looks are very important indeed but the characteristics of a person are much more important. Besides taking care of your physical beauty, why not think of improving your inner beauty. The beauty which everyone admires is becoming a rare commodity these days. While on your way to a beauty parlor keep on thinking ways of improving your inner beauty.
Take care of yourself and take care of your inner beauty. No doubt you are a beautiful person!

4 Acne Treatment Tips
Acne is a curse that plagues many people from children to adults. It can be devastating and embarrassing. The good news is that acne can be minimized and even cured. Many people do not know how to take care of their acne. They may pick and scratch at their face causing the acne to become even worse. This is a common temptation which creates an even greater need for information on acne treatments.
There are numerous acne treatments available from inexpensive Benzyl peroxide wipes you can purchase at the drug store to costly prescription medication such as Acutane. You can try your hand at a variety of treatments and find out which acne treatment works best for your skin. However, no matter what acne treatment you choose you should engage in the following four tips to ensure that you minimize your potential for acne breakouts.
Acne Treatment Tip #1: If you have acne then you may have oily skin or at least patches of oily skin. It is tempting to want to dry out your oily skin to prevent pimples. However, if your skin is too dry then it can actually cause more acne. Why does this occur? Well, dry skin produces dead skin flakes. These dead skin flakes combine with sebum in your pores. This combination is the main cause of plugged up pores thus leading to more pimples.
Therefore, you need to find a good balance between oily and dry skin. So avoid regular soap as it will dry your skin out like the desert. Find cleanser that is especially geared towards your face. Use topical salicylic acid to keep your skin healthy and avoid clogging of pores. Complete this process twice a day.
Acne Treatment Tip #2: Do not touch, pick, and scratch your face. It can be tempting to try to squeeze a pimple when it first forms. This is not a good idea, especially when the pimple is simply red and has not formed a whitehead. You can't properly get rid of the pimple yourself. You have to be patient and let the pimple work through its cycle without touching it. If you touch it, you will cause more acne to form and leave scars.
Acne Treatment Tip #3: Let the white head stay no matter how gross it looks. The white head is the result of blood and white corpuscles that are trying to heal the blocked pore. Let your body do its own work and don't be tempted to pop the zit as unsightly as it seems. This is the point when topical acne treatment medication can do the best job so let the acne medication seep in and help clear up the pimple. You can use topical Glycolic acid to remove the plug.
Acne Treatment Tip #4: Maintain healthy skin. Make sure that you use oil-free moisturizer. Also stay out of the sun if possible. While the sun sometimes appears to help acne, it is only temporary because the sun breaks down the skin cells causing dead skin cells to slough off and combine with the sebum. Therefore, make sure to wear sun block that contains at least SPF 15 or higher.

Body Hair Removal: Solutions For Today
by: Sam Natarajan
As we as a race become increasingly conscious of the way others look at us and not just the way, we look at ourselves, personal grooming has never been more important. And top of the list for many men and women today is to gain a superior attractive quality by getting rid of unwanted body hair. Be it facial hair removal for women, or back hair removal for men, quick hair removal treatments have fast gained in popularity with the masses. As your search continues for the treatment best suited for you, we have tried to put together a concise set of hair removal solutions available in the market today for your benefit.
The commonest form of quick hair removal today is shaving, which as the name suggests is the simple application of a razor blade, either manually or electrically on the skin surface to remove the hair by cutting the hair stem. While it's a quick painless hair removal method which is effective, it lasts only for very short bursts of time and can never be termed a permanent hair removal solution. Still for people short on time and low on cash, shaving still promises to be an affordable practical solution. For the slightly advanced enthusiast, depilatory creams are a good bet to do facial hair removal and leg hair removal. These creams effect quick hair removal through surface chemical reactions with the protein in your hair, breaking it down and making it easy to come off. Available in a variety of forms such as gels and aerosols and typically calcium-compound based, this treatment offers a solution which however is not a permanent hair removal method.
Of course, if you are a girl, you have probably gone through the painful procedure of waxing for body hair removal especially for hands and legs hair removal. Tweezing like waxing works by plucking the hair out of the skin right from its root s, thereby giving a hairless skin which can last for several weeks until the roots of the hair grow back. Electrolysis for hair removal on the other hand works on the principle of destabilizing the hair roots through surface electrical currents charged through electrodes implanted in the skin. While the effect of electrolysis hair removal is long standing in nature, frequent sessions and a serious dent on your bank balance are realistic possibilities that you need to keep in mind.
The best hair removal method available today is laser hair removal for men and women alike. This treatment is swift, precise, painless hair removal technique which normally guarantees an extended period of freedom from unwanted hair. In just a few sessions, whether it is facial hair removal or back hair removal, the laser technology effectively answers all your needs and desires for looking your personal best!
Visit your local salon or contact your beautician for understanding which of these hair removal treatments would work best for you. All the best to looking good and feeling great!!

Beauty and Makeup Tips for Dry Skin
Do you suffer from dry skin? If you do, it’s nothing to be ashamed about. Many people do. It’s a frequent occurrence to many people all across the world. It’s caused when your skin loses moisture making it crack. Can you tell if you have dry skin? It’s pretty easy to do if you aren’t sure. You probably can recognize the symptoms of suffering from dry skin. It looks dry, sometimes flakes, and often feels tight, especially if you have washed it with soap and water. It will feel itchy and rough to the touch. You’ll also notice that your skin is feels more dry in the winter than it does in the warm summer months. That’s because of the general lack of moisture in the air.
So, that’s why the beauty experts put together this list of beauty tips for you. Here are some guidelines you should try and follow to help prevent a dry skin outbreak:
• Dry Facial Skin - After cleansing your skin, be sure to moisturize. In the summer you might prefer a lighter formulation. While, a more creamy foundation should be used in the winter. Since the purpose of a moisturizer is to seal in moisture, misting your face with water before applying can give you some added wetness.
• Shorter Baths - During the cold winter season, nothing is more relaxing than spending time in a hot tub. Unfortunately, this is one of the best ways to strip the oil from your skin. If you love baths too much to give them up, reduce the time you spend in them and choose warm water instead of hot. It is also a good time to use bath oil and a moisturizing bar of soap instead of bubble bath. Bath oil will help to seal in the moisture, unlike a bubble bath.
• Cleansers - Picking the right cleanser for your face is something that you should give a great deal of thought to. Make sure to choose one that is labeled specifically for dry facial skin. This means that unnecessary ingredients have been removed and replaced with extra moisturizers.
• Turning Down the Heat - Another easy way to protect your skin is to turn down the thermostat. If you work several hours a day in an office, you may suggest that cooler temperatures are in everyone's best interest. Office heat is often dry, which will rob the skin of moisture.
• Dry Skin Brushing - Before your shower or bath, it is a good idea to loosen dead skin cells with a good body brushing. This is a simple technique and can be accomplished by simply using circular movements with a soft brush or loofah.
Here some other suggestions you may want consider for battling dry skin:
• Replace your summer moisturizer with a creamier formulation during the winter season. Light moisturizers usually contain water and will literally freeze on your skin if you step out into frigid, below zero temperatures.
• Not sure if your skin is oily or dry? Wash your face with a gentle cleanser, and then set a timer for about 30 minutes. If after only ten minutes go by and your face already feels tight, chances are that you have dry skin.
• If your skin absorbs your morning foundation by lunchtime, it probably means that you have dry skin. A cream foundation will give you a longer lasting coverage.
• While oily skin might require two or three times a week to notice a difference, dry skin can benefit from exfoliation only once a week. Don't forget to use lots of body lotion when you are done to seal in the moisture.
If you are ever in doubt or have a question about dry skin, remember these three words to live by: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! All of the above steps will help, but none as much as those important three words.

How Can Yoga Contribute Towards Clearer - Healthier Skin?
By: Louise Forrest
Yoga and its Benefits for the Skin. Long gone are the days when yoga was considered as strange and something that only few people practiced. Today, thanks to many celebrities, the practice of yoga is extremely popular and it is helping people everywhere to obtain a healthy mind and body. There are many reasons why yoga is good for the body and here you will find just a few of them.
Helping You to Relax:
Yoga is well known for its relaxation techniques and it really does help to reduce stress. Stress is a common factor in dull, tired skin, and by reducing that stress you will no doubt end up with clearer skin.
The reason stress contributes so much towards unhealthy skin is because it can cause blemishes and it can make us lose out on sleep. When you are constantly stressed, your mind is never relaxed. This means that you could potentially spend up to hours at a time, tossing and turning, trying desperately to sleep.
So, by participating in yoga the breathing techniques associated with the practice will not only help to keep your heart happy and healthy, but it will also cut down your stress levels, bring down your blood pressure, and help you to have blemish free skin!
Helping You to Sleep:
Not getting enough sleep is one of the most common reasons why people suffer from bad skin. It really is true that we need at least eight hours beauty sleep in order for our skin to repair the daily damage done to it and to prepare for the day ahead. If you do not get enough sleep your skin will often look dull and tired.
Yoga works every muscle in the body and that really can tire you out. So, when it comes to bed time you should be really tired. If not, another way yoga helps you to sleep is it relieves any tension built up within your body and it gets rid of stress.
Helping People Who Suffer From Acne:
Whilst many experts say that acne is often helped with exercise, it is not always true. Sweat can often irritate acne and so really active exercise is often ruled out. This is where yoga can come in.
Yoga is a really strenuous exercise which works every muscle in the body, however it is done quite slowly and so you do not really sweat as much as you would do with other more active exercises. This is great news for people with acne as it can often provide really good benefits for the condition, and it can sometimes also even clear it up.
Helping to Keep the Skin Firmer:
Yoga is by far one of the best exercises to keep the skin firm and supple and even people in their later years, enjoy the benefits of younger looking skin thanks to yoga.
As every muscle in your body is worked, it helps to keep them toned and that in turn keeps the skin firm.
Overall, yoga is excellent for the skin and it can also provide good benefits for people with blemishes and even acne. As well as benefits to the skin, yoga provides benefits for the whole body and it can be practiced by both males and females. So, if you are looking for an exercise to keep you in shape, decrease your stress and keep your skin looking healthy and toned no matter what your age, yoga is definitely for you!

Beauty Comes From Within
by: David Stanton
Since real beauty comes from within, it's important that your beauty products bring out your best natural qualities. Natural beauty product reviews can help you choose which products are best suited to your own individual needs.
One popular type of natural beauty product is stretch mark removal cream. Since stretch marks are pretty common--their causes range from pregnancy to body building--a lot of people can be helped by a natural, effective treatment for them. While reading natural beauty product reviews, I noticed that the best stretch mark remedies contain high amounts of Emu Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Collagen, Elastin and Vitamin E. When these key ingredients are combined in a highly concentrated cream, they can not only help reduce stretch marks you already have, but actually help prevent new ones from forming!
One of the most helpful things about natural beauty product reviews is that they tell you about the ingredients in the best beauty products out there. Whenever you're looking for skin treatments--whether it's cellulite cream, spider vein therapy, sunless tanning or stretch mark removal--you want to make sure that the ingredients are safe and actually make your skin look better, not worse. What's the point of diminishing stretch marks if the skin around them becomes red and irritated? Natural beauty products tend to be safer, because they don't include a lot of harsh chemicals in their ingredients.
If you're fair skinned like I am, you know how hard it can be to enjoy the great outdoors. There's nothing unusual about stretch marks or cellulite or spider veins. They are the natural effects of having bodies that grow and change. Using natural, high quality products to safely improve your skin's appearance can help you feel less self-conscious at the beach or in the bedroom.
Then your natural, individual beauty can shine through!

A good skin reflects good health and displays beauty of a person which requires a special beauty skin care Everyone wants to look their best and as beautiful as they can. Hair Removal Methods - All About Hair Removal
By: Ricky Hussey
At one time, removing body hair was a cultural thing - in some countries it was done, in others it was not. However, in the last decade an increasing number of us - regardless of our nationalities - are removing the leg and underarm hair we once kept.
Shaving
Shaving is a utilitarian, easy, quick, and affordable way to temporarily get rid of unwanted body hair. Avoid razor rash an itchy, bumpy reaction some people get to shaving - by exposing hair to warm water for at least 5 minutes before shaving. This softens hair and makes it easier to remove.
A thick buffer of shave cream or soap lather further protects skin against shaving rash. If you frequently suffer from dry, itchy, red skin after shaving, you may find it less irritating to shave in the same direction as hair growth. Note, though, that you won't get as smooth a finish as shaving against hair's growth.
Creams
Depilatory, or hair removal, creams use thyiogylcolate - the same ingredient found in permanent waves - to melt hair. Depilatories are great for anyone who gets rashes from shaving, or who hates the coarse, blunt-edged way that shaved hair grows back. The downsides to depilatories are their intense chemical odor, and the way you must stand still for 5 to 10 minutes as the cream works. Furthermore, people with sensitive skin may find depilatories irritating.
Waxing
If you can get past the pain of having liquefied wax poured onto your skin then swiftly ripped away, then you'll no doubt love the week or two of fuzz-free skin that follows. However, regular waxing does slightly damage hair follicles, causing them to produce finer, skimpier hairs. Another downside to waxing - besides the pain - is that it breaks hair off just below the skin, which appears to promote ingrown hairs.
Sugaring works much like waxing A sticky, sugar-based paste is painted onto skin, then rubbed off, pulling the hair away with it.
Light and laser treatment
Not only can intense pulsed light be used to treat sun damage, scars, and broken veins, it also works to remove hair by temporarily inactivating the follicle, leaving you hair-free for 2 to 6 weeks.
You may have heard of eflornithine cream, a new product that slows the growth of facial hair. It is believed to work by blocking an enzyme in the follicle that is necessary for hair growth.
Laser hair removal systems use a laser to disable hair's follicles and once a follicle is destroyed, it is believed to stop producing hair. However, some research indicates that with some medications or hormonal imbalances, dormant hair follicles can be stimulated to regrow hair. Two to four treatments carried out at 4- to 6-week intervals are required. Many dermatologists are also advocating long term control of hair growth using lasers, rather than advocating permanent hair removal.
Hair removal with electrolysis
Electrolysis directs electric pulses into hair's follicles where they shock the hair's root and inhibit hair growth. It is done one follicle at a time, so it's impractical for large areas - but it is perfect for hairy chins or upper lips. It must be performed by a skilled practitioner, because electrolysis can cause slight scarring in some people.

Know All About Laser Hair Treatments
By: Steve Buchanan
If you hate shaving, are tired of putting up with painful waxing, tweezing, depilatory creams, and all of the time that removing unwanted facial or body hair can take, laser hair removal may be right for you. Getting rid of unwanted hair can be painful and time consuming. Until now, the only options for removing unwanted hair were smelly removal creams, sharp razors, stinging wax or painful electrolysis needles.
This treatment is supposed to be a safe process, yet dubious claims and inappropriate equipment still lead to scams and injuries. Consumers themselves must know the ins and outs of this technique to prevent themselves from getting cheated. The effects of this technique can be permanent, but there is no guarantee. The result of the treatment does not necessarily mean the area will be completely devoid of hair. While permanent removal can occur, the procedure may simply result in reducing the amount of hair in the treated area, or it can lighten the color of the hair and decrease its thickness. Results vary from patient to patient, so please check with your doctor.
Hair color and skin type are the key factors that influence the success of this technique. It's most successful on people with dark hair and light skin. However, it can also be used on people with darker skin types. During the procedure, you wear goggles to prevent accidental exposure of your eyes to laser light. When this light is activated, you feel a stinging sensation. Oftentimes a topical local anesthetic is applied before the procedure to reduce discomfort. The procedure causes a slight charring of stubble. You may notice a strong odor of singed hair, which is normal. How long the procedure takes depends on the area of the body involved. A small area such as the upper lip may take several minutes. A larger area such as the back may require several hours.
Lasers now give skin care professionals the opportunity to offer a series of treatments that are predicated by the hair growth cycles of the body that allow for a very precise method of removing hair on a permanent basis. Lasers produce a very specific form of energy, which is represented as photons or light energy. This light specifically targets the individual hair follicles in an effort to heat them. This heat, which is a bi-product of the light, then acts to disable the follicle and impair its ability to grow. The net result is, of course, long term removal.
Within about 30 minutes of treatment, the area may become pink or red. Clients describe it as mild sunburn, and this reaction usually subsides within a day or so. Because the laser does not damage the skin, no bandages are necessary. If necessary, the doctor may prescribe a topical cream to apply to the treated areas.
After treatment:
- Avoid exercise and exertion for the first 24 hours. Perspiration from exertion may increase irritation caused by the laser.
- Avoid exposure to the sun for several weeks after treatment. After this period, make sure you apply sunscreen whenever you're in the sun. Avoid tanning booths — the ultraviolet light damages the skin.
- Don't wax or pluck hairs between treatments.
- Don't pick at or manipulate the skin in treated areas.
- Don't rub or scrub the treated area. You may gently wash the area with soap and water.

Tips for Great Skin After Hair Removal
Author: Dana H
Do you have problems with your skin after shaving or waxing? Razor burn can be an irritation to some people but to most women it can be very painful. Sensitive pubic areas can be very painful and so can armpits especially when you need to put on deodorant. Waxing often leaves red dots and ingrown hairs, even when the waxing is done by a professional. There is an alternative which is used by millions of people called the Epilady.
The Epilady is a hand held device which has special spinning disks on it head which pull the hair out from its root. The disks spin at very high speeds and because they spin the can remove hair from any angle, which helps avoid the red dots that are caused when waxing is not pulled at a straight angle. Here are some tips on how to make you skin smooth and beautiful by using the Epilady.
1.Always use your Epilady after a shower or bath. The hot water will help to open the pores and relax the hair at the root, making the hair easier to remove. Remember that the Epilady is an electronic devise and should not be used in or near water.
2.Pull the skin taught, tightening any excess skin by holding it down. As the Epilady rolls across your skin, the hair will be easier to be pulled from tight skin as they stand up higher.
3. Start slowly. You will be able to feel the Epilady grab onto your hair follicles. The slower you work, the more thorough the hair removal job will be.
4.Use movements that go in the direction of the hair growth. Unlike shaving, which requires that you go against the grain of the hair, the Epilady is designed to work best with the grain of the hair. When the hair is pulled out with an Epilady, you will tend to not get the red bumps that you might otherwise get with a razor.
5.Your skin may be sensitive after you use the epilator. The best treatment is specially designed moisturizing cream called Epilady After Cream. This cream is engineered to work after epilation and won't cause irritation. You may also use a mineral oil to soother your skin. It is not advised that you use regular lotion, however, as the chemical agents in lotion can lead to rashes and skin irritations. If you follow these simple steps you will have smooth, beautiful skin, which will be hair and irritation free. For more information on the Epilady please visit http://gpcare.com/products.asp

Following are some really great aromatherapy beauty tips.
Aromatherapy and Skin: Natural oils used in aromatherapy can help the skin reach its’ optimum beauty. Essential oils can be used to treat wrinkles, pimples, cellulite and even dry skin. Aromatherapy can also help to purify the skin. Aromatherapy works so well because it is free of unnatural and toxic ingredients that can be found in many over-the-counter acne medications. Not so when using aromatherapy. The essential oils have strong regenerative properties that helps heal and nourish the skin. Good essential oils and to use on the skin include sandlewood, tea tree and lavender. Sandlewood: Sandlewood is really good for acne and infections of the skin mostly because it has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Tea Tree: Tea tree works well for spot treating pimples. It clears up acne fast and helps to limit their reoccurrence. It has strong anti-microbial and helps to reduce swelling. Lavender: Lavender is one of the most known all of the essential oils. Lavender helps to keep oily skin under control. It is also good for evening out the skin tone and healing blemishes.
Aromatherapy and Body: Aromatherapy is great to use for the body. It helps keep the body soft and smooth. It is important to note however, that you should be very careful about applying essential oils directly on the skin because they can be very potent. Instead, adding a few drops to a bath or to a carrier oil works best. There are several ways to use aromatherapy on the body, massage and bathing are the most common and very effective.
Aromatherapy and Hair: Aromatherapy and essential oils are great to use to remedy hair loss as well as dry and thinning hair. Adding essential oils to shampoos and conditioners that one already has, can work wonders. Massaging the scalp with diluted essential oils might also be beneficial. For individuals who suffer from alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease that causes temporary hair loss, studies have shown that individuals who rub rosemary, cedarwood, lavender, and thyme essential oils into their scalp, successfully grew back their hair. This is just one example of the power of aromatherapy when it is added to beauty regiments.
Aromatherapy has many benefits, one of which is beautification. Individuals can achieve prettier skin and hair by simply using essential oil blends that they either create themselves or purchase. Aromatherapy is especially is especially effective because of it’s natural properties which can be used to pamper, ease, stimulate and beautify. I hope that you will consider using these aromatherapy beauty tips. Many people who understand the power of aromatherapy have done so with great results.

TIPS FOR FANTASTIC SKIN
By: SKINTIPS
When you meet people, what do they see? Your face, your skin, that's what. Your skin condition can say a lot about your health and your lifestyle. Did you know that your skin is the largest organ of your body? An adult human skin weighs around 5kg (11lbs) and has a surface area of 2 sq. metres (22 sq. feet), which is approximately the size of a double bed. Even with your clothes on that's a lot of target for damage from the outside - injury, sunlight, cigarette smoke, environmental pollution. So your skin can be damaged by what it is exposed to, and at the same time, it reflects internal emotions (e.g. when you sweat or blush) and conditions (especially the health of your digestive system). The condition of your skin is very closely dependant on what you eat.
Nutrition and Your Skin
Nutrition is fundamentally involved at every stage of your skin's development. Collagen makes up 70% of your skin and depends on vitamin C. Dry, rough skin (caused by the build up the protein keratin on the outer layers) can be prevented by Vitamin A. The membranes of skin cells are made from essential fats. Dry skin can be caused by a lack of these fats. The flexibility of your skin is reduced as you get older mainly because of oxidation damage caused by free radicals - from pollution, cigarette smoke, fried and burnt foods, sunlight. This damage can be limited by nutrients such as vitamins A, C, E and selenium. Lack of zinc can lead to stretch marks and slow wound healing, and is associated with a wide variety of skin problems from acne to eczema.
Foods that Keep You Young and Beautiful
Foods that can enhance your appearance need to feature as many of the following as possible: antioxidants, antibacterials, fibre to clear toxins, essential fats to support skin and reduced levels of saturated fat and sugar.
The kinds of foods where you'll get this kind of combination are: fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, fish, pulses, nuts and seeds.
So, to improve your skin, include the following in your diet:
Apricots, cantaloupe melon, carrots, eggs, liver, pumpkin, red peppers, watercress - contain Vitamin A and beta carotene. Blackcurrants, broccoli, citrus fruits, kiwi fruit, papaya, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and sprouted seeds - contain Vitamin C. Almonds, avocado, eggs, hazelnuts, olive oil, Sunflower seeds, walnuts - contain Vitamin E. Brazil nuts, cabbage, chicken, eggs, liver, molasses, mushrooms, onions, seafood, tuna - contain Selenium. Almonds, chicken, cauliflower, carrots, cucumber, eggs, oats, potatoes, sardines, tuna - contain Zinc.
And try to reduce your intake of these:
Alcohol Coffee/tea (no more than 2 cups per day) Sugar Saturated fat (found in meat and dairy products).
And think about these other factors:
- Avoid strong direct sunlight and use a sun block (sunlight causes oxidative damage and speeds the aging process of your skin).
- Wash your skin with a gentle oil-based cleanser, not regular soap, and consider what is in your skin products such as your moisturizer (many cosmetics contains strong petroleum/alcohol based substances - remember these are absorbed through the skin).
- Take regular exercise breaks (it stimulates blood flow, which will enhance delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your skin cells).
- Drink plenty of water (6-8 glasses per day (1- 1 litres) to hydrate the skin. Too little water can be a MAJOR factor in dry skin.
Consider taking some nutritional supplements:
a good quality multivitamin and mineral supplement; vitamin C; an antioxidant blend (containing at least vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium); and an essential fatty acid supplement (linseed oil, fish oil or evening primrose oil or oil blend). Remember supplements should be considered as an addition to a good diet and healthy lifestyle, not a replacement!!
Use a skin brush for your body (upward strokes working from feet to torso) and an exfoliation cream for your face. Exfoliation helps to clear blocked pores and smooth away dead and dry skin.
If that sounds a lot to think about, don't let it put you off. You can have the skin you deserve, the skin that reflects a healthier you. Just take it step by step. First introduce apricots, cantaloupe melon etc (the Vitamin A foods). Then when you've worked through introducing the healthier range of foods, start reducing the alcohol and sugar consumption. In no time at all you'll be on the road to better health and better skin.

Natural Skin Care Treatment Recipes for the Holiday Kitchen
By: Gloria Mactaggart
The holidays are usually a time when we worry about our weight – big dinners, food we may not eat during the rest of the year, and plenty of delicious deserts. All of this takes its toll on our skin but did you know that several of the traditional holiday foods are also great natural skin care treatment ingredients? While you’re whipping up a favorite meal in the kitchen, you can also whip up a concoction you’ll want to add to your natural skin care treatment arsenal. Here are some great recipes – a holiday feast for the skin.
At the top of the list is pumpkin. Now considered a ‘superfood’, pumpkin fights free radicals – a major cause of aging – is high in protein and essential fatty acids, and contains potassium, magnesium, zinc, iron, copper, Vitamins C, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, Folate, B12, A and E. Everything you need in a good natural skin care treatment, and more. Pumpkins also make a great masque, especially when mixed with papaya. Skin and seed a ripe papaya, mix it with a cup of pumpkin, add a beaten egg white (meringue consistency) and a teaspoon of honey. Puree, and smooth it on your face. Rinse off after five or 10 minutes.
Cranberries are also becoming recognized as a very nutritious food. A few years ago it was hard to find cranberry juice even in a health food store, now it’s available on the shelves of every supermarket. High in phytonutrients and antioxidants, the cranberry’s ability to prevent bacterial build up in the body is getting attention from mainstream medicine.
How can you use it for natural skin care treatment? Combine a drop of Vitamin E, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of sweet almond and 10 fresh cranberries. Bring just to a boil in a double broiler stirring frequently and crushing the cranberries. Let it cool for two or three few minutes then strain it to remove the pieces. Let it cool completely then transfer it to a small jar to carry with you. This natural skin care treatment is especially good for dry, chapped lips.
Last, but not least is the ‘apple a day’ that ‘keeps the doctor away’. I can’t vouch for the truth of that old saying, but apples are high in Vitamins A, C and K – all essential basics in natural skin care treatment – and several minerals. They also make a great toning masque. Combine one peeled, seeded and cored pureed apple with two tablespoons of whipping cream or sour cream. Smooth in onto your face and rinse off after 20 or 30 minutes – about the time you need to make an apple pie and get it into the oven.
Pumpkins, cranberries and apples do double duty in the holiday kitchen, but you may want to add them to your natural skin care treatment shelf the year ‘round.

Essentials of Facial Beauty
by: Kristine Llabres
Beauty regimens are normal for ladies for it is one way of maintaining their vivacity and prettiness. Women tend to apply several creams, lotions and use different soaps and beauty care liquids in order to attain their desired complexion or maintain their very own smooth and silky skin.
At this moment, not only women are meticulous and particular in their skin tone and looks but also men who are conscious of their appearance and how they will carry themselves and interact with other people.
Nowadays, a face pack does not only cleanse your skin and pores but it also helps in maintaining the tautness and balance of your skin. There are different face packs according to your skin type, so choose the one that suits you.
Dry Skin Pack The dry skin is usually flaky and dull looking around the eyes and cheeks. That is why it needs to be motorized well. Wash your face with milk and oatmeal instead of ordinary soap since the milk moisturizes and nourishes the skin while the oatmeal acts as an exfoliate agent.
To have extra moisturizer, make a pack with a mixture of ten almonds, two spoons oatmeal, four tablespoons of full cream milk, two spoons china clay, juice of half a lemon and one mashed avocado. Apply it gently on your face then leave for twenty minutes. Dampen cotton wool with cold milk and wipe it off. Finally, splash your face with cold water and apply light moisturizer.
Oily Skin Pack The oily skin has active sebaceous glands that secrete more oil leaving the skin greasy and dull thus it attracts a lot of dirt which then clogs the pores. It definitely needs a thorough cleansing routine to remove the surface grime and unclogged the pores.
You need a pack that rejuvenates, tightens and exfoliates skin. You can mash six strawberries with a teaspoon of Brandy, two spoons of breadcrumbs, two spoons of fuller’s earth and a few drops of rose water. Mix those well then apply a thick layer on the face and neck and leave it for twenty minutes.
Strawberries have Vitamin C and certain acidic properties they leave the skin sparkling clean. The breadcrumbs help to exfoliate dead skin while fuller’s earth will tighten the pores and brandy would help to add some glow.
Combination Pack With this type of skin, usually the nose and forehead are oily then the eyes and cheeks are dry. Cleanse the center zone with an astringent while dab the rest of the face with cold milk then apply a pack made of half a cup of powered, dry peas mixed with three spoons of curd, juice of one lemon and half a cup of papaya pulp. Apply it then leave again for twenty minutes, after rinse off with cold water. Better still to rub an ice cube dipped in rose water over the T-Zone.
Always see to it that your face is clean, free from harsh chemicals and radiantly white and flawless. Avoid exposure in different pollutants and always be protected against ultraviolet rays. Take a lot of care and be extra beautiful inside-out!

5 Great Tips For Preventing Acne
By: Thomas Middleton
Now it's important that you learn how to not only treat your existing acne, but also prevent it. When we get right down the cause, we can learn how to actually get rid of it for good, or at least combat it in a way that it won't be returning anytime soon. Because when you battle the cause as opposed to the outcome you get better results.
1. Keep your face clean. It cannot be stressed enough that this is one of the most important aspects of skin care and keeping your acne at bay. The reason you are experiencing it in the first place is because your skin's pores are clogged, so you don't want them to get even more clogged by touching your face all the time.
2. Exfoliate your skin. By doing this you are targeting and destroying the dead skin cells on your face that contribute to acne. Buy a cream, lotion, or facial scrub from the store and have a daily regimen of exfoliation. This is a huge step in taking care of your skin and staying acne free.
3. See your dermatologist. This is a person who specifies in the skin and how to take care of it. He will give you an idea of both what kind of acne you have and also how to take care of it properly. There are different solutions that they can suggest to you, ranging from topical solutions (antibiotics you ingest by mouth) to laser light treatment, and even home made treatments.
4. An important thing to remember is keep yourself educated. Go on the internet, it has thousands upon millions of paged dedicated to the very topic of acne treatment and it will help you immensely. Also talk to people who have or are experiencing their own troubles regarding this skin condition.
5. And also make sure your diet is balanced and nutritious, because part of taking care of your skin is knowing what to put in your body.
